About

Hi, I’m Kevin.

Work, family, and faith

I’m a husband and a dad to two boys, who are 9 and 11. I work a full-time job, and when I’m not at work, I’m at home with my wife raising our kids, getting dinner on the table, and keeping up with whatever the house needs next.

I love God, and my faith is at the center of all of it. It shapes how I love my wife, how I raise our boys, and how I spend the time I’ve been given. I’m far from perfect, but I’m grateful every day, and I hope a little of that comes through here.

This site is where I keep what works for us. The recipes are the ones my family actually eats, and the house posts are the jobs I’ve figured out, written down so I don’t have to figure them out twice, and so you don’t have to start from scratch. Time is short around here, so I keep things practical: clear steps, honest notes, and nothing extra.

Here’s what you’ll find

Recipes

The meals we keep coming back to around our table, food the four of us enjoy.

Smoking & BBQ

Low heat, a little wood smoke, and a lot of patience, straight off the smoker or the charcoal grill.

Around the House

Home maintenance I’ve learned over the years, mostly the hard way, written down step by step.
